Friendly REX Bookstores

The book is still the most integrated and inexpensive means of showing a great amount of knowledge in a very convenient package. It offers a great deal of trustworthy information to critical readers. Books are never replaced because of their reliability. When using the Internet as a source of pieces of information there is a big chance that these pieces of information may be erroneous or bogus. You may have to do a lot of cross references and counter-checking just to check if it is true. Books may also have information and knowledge in them that our ancestors wrote down for the future. If you really want to know the history, you must read the actual words of those who lived it.

Rex Bookstore, Inc.(RBSI) was established in 1950 and has since been a publisher of quality educational materials with a big network of bookstores chain across the Philippines. There are now many branches in different parts of the country.
Have you ever wondered we still need books if nowadays we can simply use online search engines like Google?  Books are not just something that we can consult to extract knowledge or open at leisure time. Books are companions. Yes, Internet has its own advantages, but books are reliable. We need information from references that we can trust. We cannot believe anything that we read on the Internet save for some exceptions. Besides, children should be entrusted to where their innocent mind can be nourished and not polluted which, unfortunately, the Internet is guilty of. It is better rather than expose them online where nothing is private and no one is safe. RBSI books have attributes that the Internet simply cannot match.

RBSI delivers knowledge to teachers, students, learners, and professionals. It has been the friend of the youth. It is one of the foundations of educational publishing industry in the country. It has books for all levels starting from basic education, tertiary, law, children books as well as professional books. It also publishes Teacher’s Manuals that go along with the books. These manuals contain activity posters, charts, and paper-based materials just to name a few. Audio-CDs are also made by the company for some of its books.

Why choose bookstores over Internet?. Internet hopes to supplant books in providing solid, believable, and verifiable facts. Books can transform lives, especially young lives, through reading, writing with the power of books. It has been the partner of our learning materials. Have you been in a bookstore? It is never too late to be provided with knowledge. The experience of reading and learning are important in living a life.

Learning does not stop just by reading. There are ways to test what we have learned and apply all of those in the real world. RBSI has been part of many people’s lives, especially the youth. It has taken charge in giving premium knowledge. The mission to take part in children’s learning will continue to pave way through holistic developments and excellent workers. The process of learning through reading and writing with the help of books intensifies the students’ will to achieve excellence.

Overall, having friendly bookstores have greatly improved our society. The road to success is ready to all who dream it. RBSI gives us friends where we can learn, consult, and get verifiable facts that are essential in a better learning. The adventure continues to gain knowledge.

The REXperience

"An activity that we must attend as it is a requirement for us to be able to graduate in senior high school"   That was my mind-set on what the Work Immersion Program(WIP) is. Based on what I have heard about the program, I thought that I would just be in charge of running errands for the superiors such as buying them food, office materials, and cellphone load. But despite of this, I felt very excited because I will be able to reunite with my friends and classmates. OJTs from the Editorial and Creatives Departments At the first day of our WIP, I was impressed on how they welcomed us. The employees were very accommodating; they toured us around the workplace and I must say, their office was really well-organized. On the succeeding days as part of the Editorial OJT team together with the Creatives OJT team; we, as a team, were all thankful that we were assigned in our respective departments where we were able to enhance our skills and knowledge through the guidance...

Facing the Lair of adversities in being an Exemplary employee

Being an Associate Editor is a tedious task in itself, but for Sir Heinrick G. Rabara, such is a challenging yet rewarding job; for he is a law student as well. He is currently employed in REX Book Store Inc. as an Associate Editor for Law Education. He graduated Cum laude at Araullo University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Currently, he is taking Law at Adamson University . His job is a road of hardships and adversities but still manages to perform well at work and at school as well. Contrary to popular belief, being an Associate Editor is not just about copyediting the author’s work; one should also possess ideal communication skills which are necessary addressing the author about his or her specific styles and in communicating with other departments of the company. One should also withhold a decorous reasoning skills especially when asked, and of course the willingness to the given task. Time is a huge factor to Sir Heinrick’s day. Working a...
