The REXperience

"An activity that we must attend as it is a requirement for us to be able to graduate in senior high school"

That was my mind-set on what the Work Immersion Program(WIP) is.

Based on what I have heard about the program, I thought that I would just be in charge of running errands for the superiors such as buying them food, office materials, and cellphone load. But despite of this, I felt very excited because I will be able to reunite with my friends and classmates.

OJTs from the Editorial and Creatives Departments

At the first day of our WIP, I was impressed on how they welcomed us. The employees were very accommodating; they toured us around the workplace and I must say, their office was really well-organized.

On the succeeding days as part of the Editorial OJT team together with the Creatives OJT team; we, as a team, were all thankful that we were assigned in our respective departments where we were able to enhance our skills and knowledge through the guidance of the kindhearted people of REX.

Throughout our training, I have improved myself not only to be as a responsible student, but also as a better person in general. I learned that the WIP is a momentous experience that we should cherish. With the help of my schoo, Good Shepherd Cathedral School, the REX Group of Companies Inc. , and my fellow WIP participants, I , Senandro O. Jalgalado Jr., was truly immersed on how the real world works.

Facing the Lair of adversities in being an Exemplary employee

Being an Associate Editor is a tedious task in itself, but for Sir Heinrick G. Rabara, such is a challenging yet rewarding job; for he is a law student as well. He is currently employed in REX Book Store Inc. as an Associate Editor for Law Education. He graduated Cum laude at Araullo University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Currently, he is taking Law at Adamson University . His job is a road of hardships and adversities but still manages to perform well at work and at school as well. Contrary to popular belief, being an Associate Editor is not just about copyediting the author’s work; one should also possess ideal communication skills which are necessary addressing the author about his or her specific styles and in communicating with other departments of the company.
